Overview
Developer attention is the scarcest resource in software development, and Navique was designed to protect it. Focus Mode silences everything except genuine emergencies, links your current task so you always know what this block of time is for, and fills the room with ambient sound that signals to your brain it's time to work. When the timer ends, your notification profile reverts automatically.
Pomodoro-Style Flow Timer
A configurable work/break timer following the Pomodoro technique or any custom interval. Settings control work session duration, short break duration, long break duration, and the number of work sessions before a long break. Start, pause, resume, and reset are all accessible.
Linked Task
A Kanban task can be associated with the current focus session. The task title is displayed in the focus view throughout the session, providing a constant reminder of what this block of time is dedicated to. Session time is attributed to the task in the session log.
Ambient Sound Selection
A built-in ambient sound player with several options: rain, wind, forest, café, and focus beats (lo-fi style). Sounds play continuously during the focus session and stop on break. Volume is independently controlled. The chosen sound preference is persisted across sessions.
Automatic Notification Profile Switching
When a focus session starts, Navique automatically switches the notification profile to Deep Work — silencing all non-critical notifications. When the session ends or is paused, the profile reverts to its prior setting. No manual intervention required.
Session Stats
A persistent summary of daily focus activity: number of completed sessions today, total focused minutes today, and a streak counter for consecutive days with at least one completed session.
Floating Always-On-Top Window
The Focus timer runs in a dedicated floating panel that stays above every other window and follows you across all Spaces and full-screen apps. It's always visible while you code, review PRs, or browse docs — without blocking the work underneath. Close it at any time; the timer keeps running and the window reopens from the menu bar or the Focus Mode sidebar entry.
Live Menu Bar Countdown
While a session is active, the Navique menu bar icon shows a live timer countdown — minutes and seconds, updated every second. No need to switch windows to see how much time is left. The icon swaps to a coffee cup during breaks.
Full Timer Controls from the Menu Bar
The Navique menu bar dropdown exposes Start, Pause, Resume, Skip Break, and Stop without opening any window. Timer state and remaining time are shown inline so you can act in one click from wherever you are.
Apple Music Integration
Connect your Apple Music library to automatically play a focus playlist when the timer starts. Choose from any playlist in your library directly from the focus window. Music pauses when you pause the timer and stops when the session ends — no manual coordination needed.
